Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in PDF file format or Latex source file.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

Welcome to Deep Learning and Pattern Recognition! This guide is designed to help authors understand the submission process, formatting requirements, and journal policies, ensuring a smooth review and publication process.

Scope

We welcome original research contributions in the following areas:

  • Deep learning algorithms and architectures
  • Pattern recognition methods and applications
  • Image processing and computer vision
  • Natural language processing
  • Data mining and knowledge discovery
  • Intelligent systems and applications

Manuscript Requirements

  1. Language: Manuscripts must be written in clear and concise English (abstracts should be provided in both English and Chinese).
  2. Originality: Submissions must be original works and not under consideration elsewhere.
  3. Formatting: Manuscripts should strictly follow the journal's template and include the following sections:
    • Title
    • Author information (with complete contact details for the corresponding author)
    • Abstract and keywords (in both English and Chinese)
    • Main text (Introduction, Methodology, Experiments, Conclusion, etc.)
    • References

Submission Process

  1. Template Download
    Authors are required to format their manuscripts using the journal's templates, available for download in both LaTeX and Word formats. We recommend using LaTeX for optimal typesetting quality.

  2. Online Submission
    Submit your manuscript through the online submission system. Once submitted, the system will generate a manuscript ID, which should be retained for future correspondence.

  3. Peer Review
    After passing the initial editorial review, your manuscript will undergo a rigorous peer-review process, typically taking 4–6 weeks.

  4. Revision and Acceptance
    Upon receiving reviewers’ feedback, you will have the opportunity to revise your manuscript. Final acceptance will be communicated after all necessary revisions are completed.
